February 10-14, 2025 – NYCDOE Respect for All Week
- During this week, schools will have opportunities to highlight and build upon ongoing diversity programs and curriculum-based instruction. Schools are encouraged to promote acceptance and understanding through theme-based lessons and activities. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Anti-bullying and cyberbullying; respect for diversity, religious acceptance and racial diversity; LGBTQ and gender identity pride and acceptance; celebrating kindness; and being an ally.
M.S. 129 RESPECT FOR ALL WEEK
- Monday - Respect for All Week Kick Off - Students will rally outside and march around the school to take a stand against bullying, cyber-bulling, violence, domestic violence, gun violence and promote respect for diversity, women's rights, etc.
- Tuesday - Be the "I" in Kindness - Students earn Live School points for being kind.
- Wednesday - Rep Your Culture - Students are invited to wear cultural attire from countries of their heritage. Buttons representing different country's flags will be distributed.
- Thursday - Caring and Friendship - Students can show someone they care by sending a Friendship Gram.
- Friday - No One Eats Alone Day - Special lunchtime activities with conversation starters and raffles.
